Welcome Kate Kochman, Bully Pulpit Interactive’s new COO
We’re excited to formally announce the hire of Kate Kochman who joins Bully Pulpit Interactive as the Chief Operating Officer. This is a new role for BPI as we grow and take on new talented individuals, new services and new clients. For those who don’t know Kate, she is a veteran of Rahm Emanuel’s team from the DCCC and then worked in the Chief of Staff’s office during Emanuel’s tenure at the White House. Kate made the move out to Chicago in 2010 to help run his campaign for Mayor and most recently served as the Deputy Director of Paid Media for the 2012 Obama campaign where she coordinated all paid communications for the President’s re-election effort. Kate has moved from Chicago to DC to join the team.
David Axelrod passed along this note about Kate’s hire saying, “Kate Kochman was the operational hub of our strategic team in the 2012 campaign. Deftly managing a thousand moving parts, she made sure that we always were ahead of the curve.”
Kate’s unique background of managing people, high profile clients and her understanding of the political paid media world is going to be a huge help as we expand our agency beyond a startup agency in DC to a national organization with nearly 40 staff and a growing presence in New York and San Francisco.
At this time, we are also pleased to announce a few promotions here at BPI. Eliza Lockwood has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. As you all know, Eliza has been responsible for the financial planning and management at BPI over the past four years. In the recent 2012 election cycle, Eliza split her time between Washington, DC and Chicago where she managed the online media budget for the Obama 2012 re-elect campaign on behalf of BPI. Needless to say, Eliza and Kate will be working closely together along with the rest of the staff to help us stay organized, stay on task and take our growing company to the next level.
Finally, we want to announce another exciting development at BPI. As the digital marketing world continues to evolve at lightning speed, particularly when it comes to technology, we’ve decided to promote Mike Schneider to Director of Product Development. In this new role Mike will lead ideation and development of BPI’s propriety online marketing technology solutions. All of those who have gotten to know Mike over the past two years, know his passion for tech and product development. We’re excited for him to help us grow in this area.
