Welcome Scott Zumwalt
We are excited to announce our newest team member, Scott Zumwalt, one of the leading digital innovators in the LGBT rights movement and the chief digital strategist behind the growth of the “It Gets Better Project.” Scott will direct some of our major client engagements, including the Human Rights Campaign, among others as our new Senior Director.
With nearly a decade of experience in digital strategy and marketing for non-profits and progressive political campaigns, Scott is best known through his work with the award-winning “It Gets Better Project” where he spent the past two and a half years working to bring hope to LGBT youth around the world. Previously, Scott served as New Media Director for Kay Hagan’s successful campaign for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina, directed online strategy in both Oregon and Iowa for Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign and served as an online strategist for former Iowa Governor, Tom Vilsack.
As BPI continues to serve as the largest digital marketer for the Democratic Party, bringing on leaders such as Scott helps us continue to grow our advocacy work and efforts to build social movements online.
