Anthony was most recently an Executive Vice
President at Managed Funds Association (MFA). In this role, he developed the Association’s global communications and marketing
Anthony previously served in the Obama Administration as Deputy Assistant Treasury Secretary providing communications counsel to Secretaries Jacob J. Lew and Timothy F. Geithner. He worked in close collaboration with President Obama's economic team to create and implement public affairs strategies on issues related to capital markets, banks, and non-bank financial institutions. At the end of his service, Secretary Lew presented him with Treasury's Distinguished Service Award and medal.
Before joining Treasury, Anthony was a Director at Brunswick Group advising Fortune 500 companies and other clients facing critical public affairs challenges. A veteran of Capitol Hill, he concurrently served as Communications Director and chief spokesman for U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy and the U.S. Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. Earlier in his career, he served on the communications staff of two presidential campaigns: Gore- Lieberman 2000 and Kerry-Edwards 2004.
Anthony received a B.A. in Business Administration from Morehouse College and M.A. in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University.
